Background Information

Storm FC is the competitive program sponsored by LYSA.  It is open to boys and girls from any community.  Teams are formed through an open tryout process that is held each spring.  Teams are formed for a full playing year consisting of a fall and spring season.

Tryouts are conducted by age group.  Tryouts occur over 2 nights and players are encouraged to attend both nights.

Teams sizes are approximately
U9 and U10 10 players games are played with 7 players (6 field players plus a keeper)
U11 and U12 13 to 15 players games are played with 9 players (8 field players plus a keeper)
U13 and older 15 to 18 players games are played with 11 players (10 field players plus a keeper)

All age group teams are created with an "A" Team and a "B" Team.  Players are offered a place on the team where the coaches and staff believe the player will best develop and grow.  The club makes an equal investment in both teams through coaching, training and tournament experiences.  It's possible for players to move from one team to the other in subsequent seasons.

Tryouts are held in late May - early June.  They are typically held at Phillips Park on Rich Rd in Loveland.  The specific dates and times will be posted on the Storm FC website in early April.

If a player is offered a position on a team, they are required to pay a deposit to hold their place on the team.  Players are expected to commit to playing on the team for the full season which is fall and spring.
