Job Description

The Club Registrar manages and oversees all aspects of the registration and team creation process for the recreational soccer programs including Tiger Paws, Tiger Cubs, Passers and the older teams that play SAY soccer with other communities.  This job is critical to the successful operation of the soccer program.  The Club Registrar is the ‘face’ of Loveland soccer to the families and coaches who participate each season.  Each season from 600 to 700 youth play soccer through these programs.  

The Registrar is responsible for handling all aspects of player registration each season (spring and fall).  This requires a working knowledge of the registration, team creation and player management aspects of the Blue Sombrero website software.  The Registrar must be organized, able to work independently, have good people skills, able to make thoughtful decisions on behalf of the soccer club, be an effective communicator and able to address and resolve questions and critiques from parents in a thoughtful and timely manner.  The Registrar is also responsible for advertising registrations through club email, flyers provided to Loveland schools and social media (e.g. Facebook).  Once registration closes, the registrar is responsible for determining the number of teams at each group and assigning players to teams to create completed rosters.  The Registrar is also responsible for helping solicit volunteers to coach teams and assigning coaches and assistant coaches to each team.  Finally, the Registrar is responsible for communications with parents and coaches at it relates to the registration and team formation process.

Once teams are formed, the Registrar is responsible for ordering uniforms for all of the teams and working with other Board members to distribute them to coaches.  

The Club Registrar is responsible for registration for the Loveland Soccer Academy working with the Academy Director, and a Spring Break Camp and two Summer Soccer Camps working with the Director of Player Development.  

The workload is most demanding in the months leading up to registration (December and April), the month of registration (January and May) and approximately 6 weeks following the close of registration (February-March and July-August).  A detailed flow of the work load by month is available to interested candidates.  

The goal is to fill the position this summer.  The current Registrar, Brandi Aliaga, will be leaving this position at the end of the Fall 2018 position to pursue a fulltime job.  The overlap is planned so she can work with the incoming Registrar through the fall season.
